Manufacturing process

From paper material to a ready-to-use cup

Production lines at De Lass Factory prepare and form paper material using heat and pressure before the cups are finished and prepared for packing.

How it works

Four main stages

This sequence is a simplified description based on the factory information and photographs currently available.

  1. 01

    Paper material arrives

Material for cup production arrives as prepared paper ready to enter the forming lines.

  2. 02

    Heat and pressure forming

Machines form the cup body and base and join the parts through a continuous production cycle.

  3. 03

    Cup finishing

The rim and base are completed so each cup reaches its defined dimensions and capacity.

  4. 04

    Grouping and packing

Finished cups are grouped and packed according to the size and carton information shown in the catalogue.
